5/3/23 – Fed increases rates a quarter point and signals a potential end to hikes
Despite recent turmoil in the regional banking sector, Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve raised interest rates 25 basis points today for the 10th consecutive time in a unanimous decision. Jerome Powell indicated that the Fed may be done hiking rates but remained data-dependent for future rate decisions.
