The median price of a home nationwide is up 15% year-over-year to a new record high of $375,300, while inventory decreased 9.5% from a year ago. Buyers are now paying 38% more on their monthly payment than they would had they bought the same home 1 year ago. Average days on market also dropped from 18 days to 17 and cash sales made up 28% of all properties sold in March 2022 according to Realtor.com.
